Library

The library at the Glyptotek is open to the public but mainly used by students and scholars within the fields of egyptology, classical archaeology and art history.

The library covers areas represented by the collections of the museum: Egyptian art, Greek and Roman sculpture – mainly Roman portraits – art from the ancient Mediterranean as well as Danish and French painting and sculpture from the 19th century.

Books are not to be removed from the library nor is it possible to make photocopies.

You can search for literature in the library database which is maintained by the Royal Library.

Entrance to the library is via the side entrance in Tietgensgade 25.
