1 March is your very last chance to experience the highly acclaimed special exhibition, The Road to Palmyra.
The exhibition is based on The Glyptotek’s unrivalled collection of ancient funerary portraits from Palmyra, supplemented by artefacts from the Roman Empire, 19th-century photographs and a unique scenography featuring sound and scent. In an age of globalisation, migration and cultural clashes, Palmyra and its fascinating history as an ancient multicultural society have once again captured our attention.
The Road to Palmyra is the first special exhibition in Denmark devoted to the culture of ancient Palmyra – an oasis city located in present-day Syria.
