Slow – an evening about destruction

/ 27. February 2025
5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

The popular evening event Slow returns to Glyptoteket in 2025! Immerse yourself in art, talks, conversations, music and food and gain diverse perspectives on the current special exhibitions.

Based on the special exhibition Iconoclasm – Art as a Battleground, we examine the stormy relationship between human and art and what drives us to destroy it.

At Slow you can meet King Amen-em-hat III, hear about the attack on Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux’s ‘La Danse’ as well as deep fakes and cancel culture in the Roman Empire, and enjoy a deconstructed dinner served by former Michelin chef Lasse Askov.

Program

Experience, among other things:

  • A presentation by archaeologist and co-leader of the research project Moving Monuments, Amalie Skovmøller.
  • A concert with composer, producer, and one half of the duo Den Sorte Skole, Simon Dokkedal.
  • The exhibition Iconoclasm.

The program will be updated continuously.
