“Pierre Bonnard. The Colour of Memory”
This is the first opportunity in 25 years to experience a special exhibition in Denmark of the French artist Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947). This exhibition will be presenting more than 100 works by Bonnard and consists of works generously lent by museums and collectors from all over the world as well as some from the Glyptotek’s own collection.
Pierre Bonnard is one of French art’s superlative colourists and innovators in the fields of composition and perspective. His paintings offer a glimpse of a private world in the quiet events of the everyday, though they are seldom direct renditions of what the artist has actually seen. Bonnard paints from memory, detaching himself from his subjects and resurrecting them later in the colours, planes and forms of memory.
The Lake Radio is an experimental, independent radio station transmitting round the clock on www.thelakeradio.com . In addition to producing a wide range of radio programmes and podcasts, they are also behind the festival Badesøen in the Copenhagen suburb of Albertslund.
