Ear Stele

This type of stele was donated by individuals to the temples. The giver then expected that God would be more responsive to prayers.

The figure is a 1: 1 plaster cast of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek original.

Origin of the original: Egypt, 18th dynasty, around 1554-1305 B.C.

Due to the fragile material the plaster cast can not be sent and must therefore be collected at the museum.
