These earrings were found in Susa, one of the capitals of the Archaemenid Persian Empire, in the tomb of a high-ranking person lying in his bronze sarcophagus, adorned with all his jewels, a silver cup, two alabaster vases and two coins beside him , which has made it possible to date the tomb to the end of the fifth century BC.
