The waxstatuette by H. W. Bissen (1798-1868) is a preliminary work for the Flensburg monument in honor of those who had fallen in the battle of Isted in 1850.
The figure is a 1:1 plaster cast of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek original.

Due to the fragile material the plaster cast can not be sent and must therefore be collected at the museum.
