This scarf is a collaboration between VANGSTEENSGAARD and the Glyptotek Museumshop.
The design is a cut-out from one of the beautiful silk draperies designed for the exhibition Auguste Rodin – Displacements. The set designer Anja Kragh Vang and Mia Steensgaard have created a sensuous setting, in which all the works are displayed. This setting interprets Rodin’s own theatrical way of staging his works, while also interacting with the architecture of the museum’s historic rooms.
The motives are inspired by the Glyptotek’s ornamental decorations of florals, animals, gargoyles and plants. These patterns have been fragmented and reassembled. Alike Rodin’s method, they have undergone a metamorphosis, merged together in new hybrid collages and assemblages.
