Spend a spring day at the Glyptotek, where we invite you into the always green Winter Garden and offer a wide variety of exhibitions on display.
At the moment you can see uncompromising portraits and nudes in the special exhibition Suzanne Valadon – model, painter, rebel or spend a moment under the palm trees and enjoy the view from the museum café, Picnic.
Children under 18 get free admission.

The Glyptotek’s collection of French paintings is once again on display. Come see masterpieces of paintings by the likes of Morisot, Monet, van Gogh, Renoir, Manet, Courbet and Rousseau.
You can also see the small thematic exhibition entitled The Small Salon – Paul Gauguin and the Danish Connection that casts the spotlight on the French artist Paul Gauguin’s residence in Copenhagen (1884–1885) and tells the story of the artist’s wife, Mette Gauguin (née Gad).
The Glyptotek brings the secrets of art to life with sound.
Throughout the Glyptotek, you can find 18 different listening stations to whisk you off on sensory trips to ancient Egypt, the Roman Empire and 19th-century Paris. Learn all about the art, history and architecture of the Glyptotek and get answers to questions you never thought of asking.
There are listening stations for both children and adults.

Taste the new spring menu in the museum café Picnic overlooking the lovely Winter Garden.
Try the salad with new potatoes, rye bread with riellette of smoked lumfish or enjoy a delicous lemon pie or chocolate cake.
The Glyptotek’s architecture offers a richness of details and stories. The complex listed building is a sumptuous collage of architectural styles, atmospheres and sensory impressions that provides a spectacular experience.

We have developed our very own Glypto Games that invite you to experience the art and architecture in new ways, calm down, concentrate, and maybe they’ll also make you laugh. Both children and adults can join in on the fun.
