The little Egyptian demon god Bes wore a feather crown and almost always stuck out his tongue. He had many important roles in Egyptian society, and in the exhibition one can hear him sing about being a protector, soldier and dancer. Dancers in ancient Egypt could have Bes tattooed on their thighs.
