Welcome to a summer full of great experiences at the Glyptotek!

Enjoy the sunshine and beautiful view from the roof terrace or seek shelter under the palm trees of the Winter Garden, depending on the plans of the weather gods.

The summer program offers colorful French paintings, fun activities for children and their adults, Thursday bar and great vibes on the roof terrace, guided tours and much more.

Roof Terrace

Enjoy the sun and the beautiful view of Copenhagen on the roof terrace of the Glyptotek.

Pop-up café
All summer, you can visit Picnic’s pop-up café on the roof terrace. Enjoy cold drinks, snacks, coffee and cake while enjoying the view of the city towers.

Opening hours:
Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm up to and including 28 August.

Thursday on the Roof
Every Thursday throughout the summer you can try out the best Thursday bar in Copenhagen. The setting is laid-back, and we encourage you to mingle with the other guests.

With Children

At the Glyptotek, children and their adults can explore the museum’s collections together. Put on headphones and listen to marvelous stories at the listening stations or explore the museum halls with our Glypto games in hand.

Patterns and Monsters – The Glyptotek’s Clay Studio
Throughout the summer children of all ages, together with their adults, can try their hand at making clay impressions in the Glyptotek’s clay studio.

Summer Concerts

Experience world class musicians amongst Roman gods and heroes, when we invite you to a new season of classical summer concerts in the beautiful Central Hall of the museum.

Every Sunday in August and September.

Pride

Celebrate Pride at the Glyptotek and discover the multifarious love stories inherent in the marble sculptures.

Guided tours
Join a guided tour that features queer interpretations of ancient sculptures and mythological figures.

The Small Salon

Experience a small thematic exhibition about the French artist Paul Gauguin’s residence in Copenhagen.
