The Glyptotek brings the secrets of art to life with sound.

Throughout the Glyptotek, you can find 18 different listening stations to whisk you off on sensory trips to ancient Egypt, the Roman Empire and 19th-century Paris. Learn all about the art, history and architecture of the Glyptotek and get answers to questions you never thought of asking.

There are listening stations for both children and adults.

Classical Concerts

Experience world class musicians amongst Roman gods and heroes, when we invite you to a new season of classical summer concerts in the beautiful Central Hall of the museum.

Every Sunday in September.

Roof Terrace

Enjoy the beautiful view of the Copenhagen rooftops from the museum’s roof terrace.

Picnic on the Roof
Every weekend in September the museum café serves cold drinks, salty snacks, coffee, and cake at the roof terrace.
Opening hours: Satuday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm in September

Please note! The roof terrace is closed in case of bad weather. There is an elevator up to the roof terrace, but another ten steps up to the café.

Architecture

The Glyptotek’s architecture offers a richness of details and stories. The complex listed building is a sumptuous collage of architectural styles, atmospheres and sensory impressions that provides a spectacular experience.

At the Glyptotek, children and their adults can explore the museum’s collections together.
